Virtual Fossil GIFs

Some gif-experiments with images culled off Virtual Palaeontology (by Russell Garwood). Here I was exploring their presence on the screen and the translation from CAD to GIF. The resulting scale, limitations, and pixel patterns created by the gif’s lossiness were of interest. A fascinating process, not even to mention the shift from a 300-million-year-old object to a poor image.
